Lisa Mitchel is a residential San Jose landscape design specialist, not a landscape architect. She strives for innovation, sustainability, form, function, unity, artistry, simplicity, and scale; designing gardens that link the home owner to the natural world.
Her landscaping in San Jose is inspired by “what is possible” and uses an artistic compositional approach connecting the garden to the sites architecture, region, and esthetic preferences of the client.
She creates conceptual landscape designs which include; hard-scapes, (paths, patios, decks, porches, arbors, water features, BBQ, kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits, etc.) plants and lighting. Drought tolerant and native plants are encouraged.
As a garden designer, she offers the following: hourly rate consultations, low maintenance gardens, front and back Palo Alto landscaping ideas, outdoor rooms, sustainability, edibles, recycling ideas, water features, concrete textures, lighting, home owner tips, lawns, and allergy free plants. She has a vast knowledge of an assortment of plants from all drought tolerant climate zones: Australia, Chile, South Africa, the Mediterranean, and California. All of her designs are bid-able documents for licensed landscape contractors and landscapers. She can design Modern, English, French, Italian, Country and American theme gardens and more to fit her customers unique needs.
She proudly services the following locations: San Jose, Los Gatos, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, San Carlos, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Gilroy.
